Town Christians contribute 240 hours of continuous prayer
Key workers, the environment, local businesses and people who are struggling, as well as people without faith were the focus of 240 continuous hours of prayer during Harborough's involvement in the Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement.
Christians from most of the town's churches had signed up to give an hour or more of prayer each through the ten day period between Pentecost and Ascension.
Because of the national lock down, the usual pattern for such 24/7 prayer events - centred on a specific room in the town - was not possible. Instead a virtual "prayer room" was established on line and a blog and a dedicated Facebook account substituted for the usual physical prayer wall on which people could post thoughts, insights and prayers.
The event was organised by people from several churches and hosted on the Anglican Team's website. The contributions to the "prayer wall" were collated and appear here: TKC prayer wall.
