Harborough churches join international prayer wave

Thy Kingdom Come logo

Churches in Harborough are being creative as they share in Thy Kingdom Come, an international prayer wave between Ascension (30 May) and Pentecost (9 June). Events being organised range from 72 hours of prayer spread over the week at the Methodist Church to a prayer walk and a prayer workshop at St Dionysius Church. All the events are open to anyone regardless of whether they are regular members of the host churches.

Thy Kingdom Come is taking place in some 114 countries and across 65 different Christian denominations. It is commended by many leaders, including the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Its aim is to encourage all Christians to seek a fresh empowerment from the Holy Spirit for their witness in word and deed, and to pray for others to come to personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Local activities include the following; please check with local churches for further details and any late additions to the list. Some churches which are regularly open during the day will also have special prayer stations and Thy Kingdom Come resources for visitors to use at any time.
