Our Lady of Victories

1 Fairfield Road Market Harborough Leicestershire LE16 9QQ 01858 462359

Welcome to Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Parish Church. I am Canon Christopher O'Connor and I hope that this website will provide you with any and all of the information you need about our parish - whether you are a new visitor to our parish or already one of our many wonderful parishioners.

Our Lady of Victories is part of the Nottingham Catholic Diocese and serves the Catholic Community for Market Harborough and District. As a Catholic Parish, our vision is to help each other on our spiritual journey through life, to share together as a Eucharistic community, to be nourished by each other through prayer, the sacraments and alms giving.

We open our hearts in welcome to all who wish to visit or worship with us. We are determined to continue strengthening the great love, understanding, genuine friendship and support that exist between Churches together in Harborough and district. We pray that we will continue to give witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and help others to come to Him and to walk with Him on their onward journey.

Our Church was built in 1877 and has served the parish wonderfully for more than 120 years. However in early 2002, due to the increased size of the congregation, it was decided to renovate and extend the church.

There was a strong consensus that the enlarging of the church should be sympathetic to the original design and architecture of the building and avoid the style and design of more modern and contemporary secularised churches.

The extended and refurbished church was consecrated by the Bishop of Nottingham, the Right Reverend Malcolm McMahon O.P. on Thursday 9th June 2005.The cost and long term debt for the parish of Our lady of Victories is estimated at £1.8 million.
